Quite abit of info to update you on so i'll break it all down and start from where I left off which was Broome.....
We spent the last few days there partying pretty hard. We went out Thursday which is the busiest night in Broome and drank way too much Jim Beam. It's expensive to go out here because for 1, the hostels all have their own bars so you can't drink your own on site, 2, it's against the law to sell shots, and 3, you can't have any spirit unless it's with a mixer. It's all for good reason. to stop people getting too drunk and causing havoc etc. but after 5 years of Burton on Trent nightlife it's abit of a culture shock!!
Friday day was spent chilling out and doing very little before heading out again that night. A few friends from the walkabout we're intown so we bypassed the no BYO drink and got some cheapo wine in the hostel before hitting the town for another eventfull evening (I won't go into detail!).
Saturday saw another chilled out day and then a beach party at night. Word was going round about it in all the hostel's, so it was gearing up to be a mass OC style beach party, with hundreds of people, loud music, a massive fire and all that. In reality it was alot more mellow than that, there was a big fire, but not the hundreds of people nor the music (just a few people playing guitar).
Sunday we had to be up to move hostels and due to our lack of initiative and the busy time of year we had to fork out for a double room which set us back $130 each for the 2 nights stay...not exactly backpacker style but it was V.nice (own tv and dvd player) so we had the chance to cathc up with some Euro 08 action. Spent the 2 days there and then left for the easyrider tour to Perth on Tuesday which has so far turned out to be one hell of an experience......
