# 41

Have been in Broome now for 4 days and after the 1st days rain it's been hot since.

Sunday we did a 3 hour kayaking trip around the cable beach coastline. The leaflet promised sightings of turtles, dolphins and manta rays...all I saw was a few fish and 2 birds! At low tide there was a place where you could see dinosaur footprints from 130 million years ago (we went at high tide!) We did manage to see a fern leaf fossil from the same era and had crackers and dip so all was not lost. Took alot of cool photo's of the coast and on the rocks, and got some good snaps of the sunset on our way back to shore.

Monday we did a camel ride along the beach. One hours trip, a few photo's along the way and a chance to feed the camel a carrot at the end which was a funny trip. Ive sent 2 postcards home so they should be there shortly.

Not much else happening, all the hostels here are fully booked so we've had to move around abit - spent 3 days near the beach, now we're in town for 3 days, then we're heading back to the beach. We leave for Perth on 17th June, on a tour bus with a company aptly named 'easyrider'!!!

Dad, still can't find triathlon results (it said on the website there's a delay due to alot of appeals etc.) but I did hear on the grapevine about the bronze medal finish and the stretcher finish so good on ya! x
