Got picked up tuesday morning to satrt the tour. Our 'tourguide' was called Val and after picking everybody up we went to the shops to get food.
There were only 10 of us on the tour so the bus wasn't that big (and it meant we had a seat each which was good). In the 30 heat it gets very hot inside vehicles so most have A/C to keep it cool...not ours. Apparently it was broke, and after about an hour trying to get it to work Va gave up on the idea and suggested we just keep the windows open instead. So we get our food and head off, but disaster strikes and Val forgets to buy a lettuce so we have to go back to te shops to get one where after purchasing it, she see's an od friend of hers and has a 10 minute chat while we wait on the (hot) bus. We eventually leave Broome at about midday. We've had no introduction by this time, or no information on the tour, or the shcedule etc.
1st stop is for petrol which is a couple of hours into the journey which is where Val decides it'd be a good idea to tell us her name. The trip to Pardoo for the nights stop is about 6 hours and again we get no info about the area, the schedule, or anything (usually a dead cert on most tours).
Get to pardoo at about 7.30. We got to our room, had a BBQ for dinner (with the salad, including the lettuce, which Val had made for us) and then had a few drinks with our fellow tourists.
