We're packin' up our bags and heading over to Sydney to pastures new. Having had no luck here in Perth there's not much point sticking around, wasting money on accommodation, so we're doing the rest of the touristy things over the weekend then heading due East on a plane, travelling the 4126Ks to Sydney...not a bad decision to make really, being able to decide to up and leave and head to Sydney!
Had an interview at a hotel out of town but the money wasn't great and the place wasn't that nice, and had another interview at a hotel in Fremantle, another nice suburb here, but that wasn't enough hours to save up.
We were gonna go to Sydney in a month or so and stay there till the new year but the new plan will see us arrive early, secure a job and a place to stay (all being well) and then stick around 'till the lads come over. We'll spend 2 weeks travelling up the coast to them then go back to Sydney over Christmas and New Year (hopefully we'll be able to keep our accommodation so we can drink and be merry there over the festive period).
There are loads of backpacker apartments you can rent for the same price you'd pay in a hostel so were gonna do some research and try and get one of those. Also spiced up my coaching CV and sent a batch of emails out to clubs and companies that run soccer camps so hopefully Ill be able to get some decent work and experience while I'm over there.
There's plenty of research to be done, calls to make and stuff to get sorted so it'll be a busy, exciting few weeks and all being well, a big pot of gold will be waiting at the end of the rainbow!
It was great to speak to those I spoke to on Sunday, all be it not as long as Id have liked but Mr.Vodaphone intervened and cut me short (J&T, the Q's will have to wait!) I hope it was an entertaining evening. xx
