"I can tell that we are gonna be friends..."

1st stop on the bongo tour was Dunedin. We had a quiet 1st night as we were all still pretty tired after the Queenstown events.

Day 2 was a pretty lazy day, then at night we went to the rugby match. Met up with fellow burtonian Kev at the game and spent 80 minutes drinking, chatting and witnessing Dunedin Hurricane's 1st win of the season, a 29-20 win over The Lions. Walking back to the bus, Eby took a tumble and hit the deck pretty hard. The next morning, and a hospital trip later, she found out she has fractured her wrist and her elbow (ouchy). After the game we went back to the hostel for a few drinking games (Kev included) and then hit the town whcih proved to be a very good place to be on a Friday night.

Eby, Catherine and Wendy stayed behind in Dunedin to get back on the kiwi bus up to Auckland so that Eby can sort her arm out, so the bongo crew is down to 5 - Hayleys friend Emma (UK) has joined us now too.

Day 3 started with a bad ass sausage, egg, mushroom and onion sarnie then, hangovers and all, we travelled up the worlds steepest street which was v.tiring, and then road tripped around the coast to look for penguins and sea lions. We had a 50% success rate, we saw a massive sea lion chilling on the beach. It was huge, and really cool to see it in its natural habitat. I got close enough as I dared to take a few snaps then left before it charged at me...I hear they move pretty quick.

Kev picked me and lee up that night and we went round his place for a chineese and a game on the PS2. After tea we went back to our hostel (no Kev this time) and placed 'ring of fire' - a very entertaining drinking game that was so much fun we didn't even make it out into town.

Today (Sunday) we drove south through the Catlins admiring the scenery and are now in Invercargill.

I have also added some photo's to New Zealand II and added the Pub golf pix.
