Kia Ora

Kia Ora everybody.

Another update as to whats going on down here in New Zealand. We spent our last day in Nelson getting my hair cut, then walking up a very steep hill for 20 minute to get to the geographical centre of New Zealand and taking advantage of the free pool in one of the local bars. Thursday we were back on the kiwi bus (with a driver who likes to talk way too much and always gives out guidelines, .."not rules, cause he's not a teacher.." as to what we should and should not be doing) and spent the night in the small town of Westport. Arrived in the evening and left the following morning so we didn't do alot here, not that ther was much to do in the tiny town anyway. We had a big BBQ and a few beverages for tea with everybody on the bus so that was a good socialiser. Friday we travelled down to lake mahinapua and stayed at the 'poo pub' as it's known on the circuit! On the way we stopped off at a seal collony for a few photo's. The poo pub is owned by an 80 year old guy called Les who's abit of a local celebrity down here. We spent the afternoon bonding with the lads off the bus with a game of footy down on the beach (in the rain!), and then in the evening we had a bin bag party - everybody had to fashion a bin bag into some sort of fancy dress outfit! I mustered up a waistcoat type thing, added a home made sheriff's badge and a neckachief and I was sorted!! Left the poo pub slightly hungover this morning and are now in Franz Joseph for 2 days...

My latest photo's are online now , and I have put a link to the site on the right to ---------->
