Spent our time in coral bay doing very little, the weather the last few days wasn't that great so we stayed in, watched movies and spent time on my laptop (tough life!). One of our Dutch companions had never eaten beans on toast, or a pie, so we educated her on the culinary delights and got her to have it one night (she wasn't that impressed) then the next day she had a pie for lunch (again, she wasn't that impressed)....One night we spent time reading a celeb gossip mag, then proceded to quiz each other on its content, and then we took about an hour debating wheteher to purchase a kitkat......there literally was nothing better to do!
Had a much better trip from Coral bay to Perth. Our driver Greg was alot more informative, friendly and knowledgable than Val. Had a few stop offs along the way, one was Monkey Mia where we saw dolphins. They have a feeding program there and every morning the dolphins hit the bay for their brekkie so it makes for a good tourist stop. They come right close to the beach so I got a good view of them and some good photo's. Another stop was to see the stromatolites, which Id never heard of before which is strange due to their significance...they date back to over 3.4 billion years old and are said to be the 1st living organisms on earth.
We had long drives all 3 days of the trip so spent alot of time listening to my iPod but we stopped every couple of hours for a photostop, or for a toilet stop, or for greg to catch 40 winks. Had a pretty international bus too, English, Dutch, Sweedish, Korean and German, so managed to learn abit of lingo along the way aswell.
Arrived in Perth Sunday evening and checked into our hostel, moved to a nicer one Monday and are staying here till the weekend. Its pretty kallt here (that means cold, in Sweedish!) Hit the town last night with our dutch counterpart and had a good night, followed by a rough morning and today found a free wifi so applied for a few jobs and browsed the net before watchhing a movie...enjoying the days of freedom before employment returns! The plan is to get a job and stick around here so depending on where we work we may have to move hostels again but we'll see how that pans out.
Just sent a huge batch of email to loads of bars, restaraunts and cafe's so hopefully hear from them soon. Off to the dentist this afternoon aswell to get my wisdom tooth checked out, then heading home for a snooze before heading out again tonight with our sweedish friends.
