Been using my spare time on my new laptop and on my iPod (The Courteeners album is quality, I urge you to have a listen!)...boys and their toys! Got iTunes downloaded and will also be able to download music to keep it updated and to fill my library. The 1st week after work has been set aside to beef up my music collection and to track down episodes of the new LOST and Heroes online so it looks set to be a very (un)productive week!
Had a day off last Sunday which was much appreciated (My 1st full day off since arriving). Had a few drinks and played a few drinking games Saturday night then had a nice lie in Sunday am. we ventured to the horse racing in the afternoon which was the 1st meet of the season up here in Port Hedland. I had 1 bet but didnt win, tho in a race I had no money on but picked a horse just for fun, my 4 legged mystro came in 1st so I could have won some! Winner.
We're heading North after here to a place called Broome. No longer renting a car as there's a $1000 relocation fee so we're gonna bus it up there leaving Thursday...it takes 7 hours, but it should be a good drive with some good kodak opportunities..roadkill, huge ant hills, and massive tree's are all along the way so Ive been told.
The morning cleaning was vastly improved with the addition of my music...mopping to the wombats was actually quite a pleasant thing! The last week was spent cleaning the bar in the morning; 7.30 till 9.30, then cleaning the rooms till 2ish, then in the restaurant in the evenings 5 or 6 till about 10. Had to do the rooms top to bottom so it's taken us all this time. Not much happening besides that, not much really does up here...Will get some photo's uploaded as soon as I get a fast connection so that you can all get a visual on my time here at the walkabout....
