Hi Ho, Hi Ho.......

Landed ourselves a job in Port Hedland, Western Australia. Working in a hotel on the bar and in the restaurant. 40 - 60 hours a week. $20 an hour ($24 @ the weekend). It's a live in job, so we have a shared room which is costing us $70 a week and that includes 3 meals a day. There are a few other backpackers working there aswell and the staff living part is next to the hotel and has all the rooms, bathrooms and a TV lounge aswell so it should be pretty good. I don't think there's a great deal to do in Port Hedland but we'll be working most of the time so wont't have alot of spare time which is good cause we'll be able to save up even more $$$
We're leaving Melbourne tomorrow (Thursday) and fly to Port Hedland via Perth. Gonna stay there for 2 or 3 months, maybe more if we like it, then move on to travel some more. We'll be able to save up loads. My have we landed on our feet with this one. Will update with more details once we arrive.

Went out last night for a few to celebrate the success then got back and stayed up to watch the Liverpool Chelsea game, which was going well untill the 94th minute. Had to check out at 10 so didn't have much sleep. Was up early and into town to get a few bits and bobs and then this afternoon we did the Neighbours tour! Ramsy Street where it's filmed is a real street here so the bus took us there. They were filming today so we couldnt go down the street and see the houses which was abit rubbish. After that we went to the high school where they film on location and then went back into St.Kilda to mee one of the stars. It was the woman who played Janelle, had a quick chat , got a photo and a signed postcard and the tour was over!

We're leaving our hostel tonight and going to the airport as we fly out early morning so gonna crash at the airport. Arrive in Port Hedland tomorrow afternoon where we will then be 7 hours ahead of the UK. We start work on Friday.

I don't know what internet availlability is like over there but I will do my Georgie Best to keep this up to date.
