route 1

We are now in l.a, having spent the last few days driving down route 1. it was well good drive, the road runs along the coast so the views were amazing. we stopped off in monterey for 1 night and santa barbara for 2 nights. the weather is improving so we've finally managed to spend some time chilling out on the beach...3 weeks of cold weather was worth the wait, its been nice to have abit of chill time after so long in big cities. we found a good place in santa barbara wednesday night, it was mid-term and so it was full of college students...right up our street it was (and it was only $2 a drink, winner!). i felt the brunt of it the following morning tho with a sore head. stayed in a hostel on venice beach on friday night having spent the afternoon on the beach, then walking up the coast...its abit trampy here tho to be honest,lots of homeless people! .hope everyone back home is well. xx
