we've spent the start of the week in and around a place called hermosa beach, just south of hollywood. We had time to chill out and do some domestics (i.e laundry!). Spent the days chilling between the hostel and the beach, listeneing to my ipod, and reading my stevie g book. i've been listening to damien rice alot, his album 'o' is class..i recomend it to you all. the weather has been hot hot hot, so we managed to get chance to go in the sea which was nice after 3 weeks waiting.

we spent a day in newport, a wealthy part of town and home to (one of) the greatest t.v shows to air, 'the o.c'. we didnt see much from the show while we were there, and later found out it's all filmed in hollywood!!! we did some shopping and snooped around the gated communities and then spent the evening catching up with the new series of lost in our motel.

we are now in san diego, we got the train here yesterday (the train was massive, double decker style!) went out last night for a few soda's. there a massive zoo here which we're going to, and its only 20 mins from tjjuana, mexico, so we may venture south tomorrow before we fly out to fiji on monday.
